• predict the opportunities for cooperation between the public sector and operators in the sector
• make use of the possibilities of innovative regional development in reinforcing the competitiveness of the region and its operators
• develop and strengthen cooperation between businesses and municipalities
• apply their business competence to reforming public sector functions
• evaluate and develop alternative service production methods for municipal service provision
• apply the main regulations of the public sector from the points of view of the public sector, businesses and citizens
• work in a municipal position or office, preparing issues related to the branch of administration and presenting them to the body
• utilise EU support functions and national business subsidies

The competence gained in this study unit relates to the ability to cooperate and build partnerships between the public sector and various other operators. Students learn to work in the public sector in accordance with appropriate regulations and operating principles, making innovative use of their business competence. Students adopt a creative and reformative viewpoint on the organisation of municipal services. They understand the structure of regional development networks and innovation systems, and can use creative tension and networking to support the competitiveness of the region and its operators. |
