The study units in the theme deepen students’ knowledge of the different competences held in an organisation. Competence development requires internal, resource-driven thinking in business development. Competences are seen as an organisation’s characteristic, which means that it is important to be able to transform individual competence into the organisation’s competence. This kind of competence generates value for customers and is difficult to imitate.
