| This theme deepens students’ professional growth towards innovative expertise. The study units look at value-generating systems, consisting of functions that create added value for customers in various ways, from different viewpoints. Innovative value-generating systems are used to come up with new solutions to support the customers’ businesses and to improve efficiency. The competence generated in the theme is evident as the ability to outline new kinds of value-generating systems, understanding the opportunities they open for innovations in individual companies and public sector bodies.
