| This theme starts off the students’ professional growth with an emphasis on describing business management and on the main tools needed in learning and at work. The study units in the theme form a learning module which familiarises students with companies and organisations operating in the area, demonstrating how companies can become networked to form partnerships and clusters. Knowledge related to industry, commerce and the national economy forms a basis for research and development work to serve the region. Competence is evident as a skill in acquiring and evaluating information related to companies’ operations and operating environments, and the ability to present things in writing, verbally and visually using various communication styles.
